What backing the campaign means.
Stop The Squeeze is a working campaign, not a mailing list. When you add your name, three things happen:
You get the 30-day report-back
One email per cycle. What was raised. What was done. What is still outstanding. By community.
You get heard locally
Numbers count when planning decisions are made. Adding your name is the first piece of formal weight.
You get the planning alerts
If a major application lands near you, we'll tell you, and tell you exactly how to comment formally.
You get to opt out anytime
One click unsubscribe. No questions. We mean it.
Back Stop The Squeeze.
Tell us your community, what you care about most, and how much you want to be involved. Anything beyond your name and email is optional.
We promote the campaign to South Glos councillors, planning officers and partners on the basis of the names backing it. Yours is one of them.
"Politics that reports back. Not just at election time. That is the whole point."

What you'll actually receive.
The 30-day report-back is the heart of this campaign. Here's what arrives in your inbox once a cycle:
That's the deal. Roughly 200 words per cycle. Plus the occasional planning alert if something major lands near your postcode.
What's in the next report
Every report is published openly. We'd rather be honest about what we couldn't fix than quiet about what we tried.
Reasonable questions. Straight answers.
Will you spam me?
No. Roughly one email per 30-day cycle, plus an occasional planning alert if something major lands near your postcode. Unsubscribe is one click, and we mean it.
Will you share my details?
No. Your details stay with the campaign. Read the privacy policy for the full position.
What if I'm not in one of these wards?
Sign up anyway. Pick "Other" or your nearest community. Willsbridge, Cadbury Heath and surrounding areas are part of the wider campaign too, we name our four wards to make a point, not to exclude.
What does "volunteer" actually involve?
As much or as little as you want. An hour delivering leaflets on your street. A morning at a listening session. Or just telling us what's happening locally. No experience needed.
Is this party-political?
It's promoted by North East Somerset and Hanham Conservative Association. The campaign focus is local: green belt, infrastructure, services, voice. The 30-day report-back format is what holds it honest, regardless of party label.
