Stop The
South Glos
Squeeze
One campaign for every community in our patch.
Hanham · Hanham Abbots · Longwell Green · Barrs Court · Warmley · Parkwall · Cadbury Heath · Bitton · Oldland Common · North Common · Willsbridge · and the wider area
Our Communities. One Campaign.
Bitton & Oldland Common · Hanham · Longwell Green · Parkwall & Warmley
A campaign across our four South Glos wards, Bitton & Oldland Common, Hanham, Longwell Green, and Parkwall & Warmley, fighting to protect our green belt, fix our roads, defend our services, and stop housing being forced through without the infrastructure to support it.
Our communities. Held together by the Green Belt between them.
Bitton & Oldland Common. Hanham. Longwell Green. Parkwall & Warmley. Four wards, every community named. Each one different. Each one squeezed in its own way.
The space between them is what stops Our South Glos becoming one big sprawl with one set of clogged roads and one waiting list at the GP.
Our communities →What do we mean by "the squeeze"?
Six pressures. One campaign tracking all of them, and a form for residents to report what's happening on their street.
Squeezed Space
Green Belt, sprawl, planning pressure
Tell us what's happeningSqueezed Streets
Potholes, pavements, traffic, road safety
Tell us what's happeningSqueezed Services
GPs, dentists, schools, bins, local facilities
Tell us what's happeningSqueezed Buses
Routes, reliability, frequency, route changes, evening services
Tell us what's happeningSqueezed Wallets
Council tax, charges, and visible value for money
Tell us what's happeningSqueezed Voice
Decisions made about us, without us
Tell us what's happeningNo more politics that disappears after the leaflet.
Every 30 days we will publish what residents raised, what we did, who we contacted, what changed, and what still needs fighting for.
This is the commitment. Politics that reports back. Not just at election time.
First Report Back. Coming Soon
Every report will be published openly. We'd rather be honest about what we couldn't fix than quiet about what we tried.
